corporate wellness
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) reported another record high for absence levels 9.4 days in 2025, up from 7.8 in 2023 in their 2025 publication, with mental health indicated as the leading cause of both short and long-term absence. A significant proportion of organisations surveyed had implemented health and wellbeing support, especially regarding mental health and with positive outcomes although belief in the effectiveness of such interventions was 50%.
More generally, HR managers are noticing a wide range of challenges such as anxiety about AI, difficult team dynamics, challenges with procrastination and motivation as well as stress-related absence.
It seems the culture shift in employers valuing and implementing wellbeing support in the workplace has brought significant benefits for employee wellbeing and employer returns. However, if this progress exists alongside low self-belief in the effectiveness of this support and a rise in absence.
These challenges call for greater attention to detail when it comes to how interventions for employee health and wellbeing are being delivered. Therefore, carefully tailored content and attention to delivering health and wellbeing interventions that are contextually relevant within a particular organisation, become important factors to consider when contracting corporate wellness input.
I work closely with HR leaders within corporate wellness to deliver webinars and in-person sessions on topics that benefit from clinical psychology input specifically, not only in its content but in the style and method of delivery. I also bring extensive skills and experience in facilitating psychological safety and holding space in a way that can contain anxiety effectively.
The psychoeducation topic areas I offer support on, include:
Mental health and emotional wellbeing e.g. stress, procrastination, working relationships, confidence
Health conditions and emotional wellbeing e.g. chronic and long-term health conditions
Neurodivergence
Team dynamics
